About AP10

Wollongong based and have been an inspired physiotherapist for over 20 years, with a passion for the health of all of my clients. I have also been coaching triathlon for almost 15 years, with the same amount of passion for all of my athletes, their goals and their lives.

I worked for 8 years as the head Physiotherapy and Strength and Conditioning coach for the Australian Triathlon team, travelling each year to Spain, going to 3 Olympic Games, a Commonwealth games & the Tour de France. This concluded after the Rio Olympics where I worked closely with Gwen Jorgensen, the USA and World Champion, when she won the gold medal at the games, to become Olympic champion in Women’s Triathlon.

This period gave me invaluable experience in absolute ‘best practice’  physiotherapy working right alongside the worlds best coaches and health professionals. It gave me the tools that I use everyday as a  physiotherapist and coach.

I work at Phytness Healthcare in Fairy Meadow and also from my clinic at home, which is a specially fitted out treatment area and gym/bike fit space. At each location you can claim private health cover.

Physiotherapy, Coaching and Bike Fitting

I am passionate about finding the CAUSE of why people are injured and look at each person as an individual, not just focussing on the resultant problem. Using a huge number of techniques, including traditional physio, various massage methods, dry needling, strength and conditioning, to name a few. In addition I also offer a Dynamic Bike Fitting service, utilising  biomechanical understanding, first-hand experience as a cyclist and triathlete and further study, including at the F.I.S.T. Institute in California; USA. I have been fitting bikes for the past 12 years and bring a combination of understanding each individuals body, how they move and also past injuries and limitations. This expertise brings a unique and individual approach to bike fitting and one that I am very passionate about.

About Alex Price

Founder and director

I have raced at a high level in triathlon, competing in 16 Ironman triathlons including the Kona World championship, winning a world championship bronze medal in Long course in Spain, and winning my age group a number of times. I have also raced extensively at shorter races.

However when I started triathlon, having been raised on a farm on Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, I was very average to say the least at the sport. I took 47min to swim 1500m in my first Olympic distance triathlon, so do not assume I am a natural! I have learnt how to move better, how to train better and how to take care of my body. Something that I pass onto my physiotherapy and coaching clients.
