Physiotherapy

Where Expertise and Experience meet.

During my 20 years in physiotherapy I have treated very many  clients from a broad cross section of the population. My interest in understanding the human body and its capacity is driven by a curiosity and passion to find the source of injury and uncover the cause so I can treat that, not just the resultant problem. This approach not only improves body function but prevents a recurrence of the ailment.

I am committed to helping clients who are challenged by common day to day injuries. Using evidence-based methods , providing individualised treatment plans and exercise intervention strategies. Facilitating healthy lifestyle choices and a holistic approach, I provide a complete solution to help them achieve their best results.

I facilitate long term wellbeing through education and a positive and supportive influence during the rehab process. This has proven to be a valuable attribute for my clients who face physical limitations caused by injury and emotional distress. I have a particular focus on working with NDIS clients, as well as athletes, adolescents, and achieving day to day functionality for all my clients.

My Experience

Having lived and worked overseas, I have had opportunities to work with elite triathlon programs both as a physiotherapist, and a strength and conditioning coach. I travelled extensively with the Australian Triathlon team for eight years internationally. I was fortunate to work at two Olympic Games and a Commonwealth games. During the Rio Olympics, I worked with the USA Triathlon team, in particular Gwen Jorgensen who won the Gold medal.

I apply  experience gained working with elite athletes to  all my clients, in particular my expertise in movement analysis, bike fitting, run and swim technique. Using real time filming and analysis which has proved to be invaluable in the prevention of injury and performance enhancement.

I use a huge variety of individually adapted treatment techniques, including  evidence based physiotherapy, dry needling, strength and conditioning. I am also a qualified massage therapist.

Recognition by my peers is evidenced by invitations to speak at APA and SPA events, as well as multiple contributions to industry and sports specific media.

I work both from my AP10 office in Corrimal and at Phytness Healthcare in Fairy Meadow – www.phytness.com.au
