Alex working in Mooloolaba
I have been continuing my work with the NSWIS triathlon team, in their lead up to Oceania Championships and the World Cup race in Mooloolaba. I was also asked recently by the ITU to be the head physio for the ITU team at the World Cup race in Mooloolaba, which is something I am very proud of and I am looking forward to the opportunity! At the end of May I will travel again with the team to Vitoria in Spain for their season in Europe and America. While in Spain I will also compete in the ITU Long Course World Championships, which happens to also be in Vitoria!
AP10 Team update
There have been some great races so far and with many of the athlete’s now in their build phase for their ‘A’ races, no doubt there will be some great results to report on very soon! AP10 is now 10 athletes strong, all of whom are coached full time. there are many others who are being consulted, either on their monthly programs or technique/form development intermittently! I am very proud to have such an awesome, motivated and inspiring group to work with and look forward to moving forward as a team!
This weekend is the second edition of the “TritheGong” triathlon festival, which is set to be an awesome event. The festival consists of a full weekend of racing with almost 1500 people already entered. The racing takes in the stunning harbor and cliff road area, showing off Wollongongs great assets to the triathlon community. AP10 have a strong contingent competing in races across the weekend. We always love racing in our own back yard and look forward to a successful weekend. Alex is hoping to repeat his winning performance from last year to make it two in a row, though with some pretty serious competition it will be a tough ask. Ed will be down there taking photos too, so if your racing, make sure to give him a smile… See you there!
AP10 competition a great success!
The competition to win an entry to the Dextro Energy Sydney race was a great success.
A huge thank you to Dextro Energy for this opportunity. Dextro was generous enough to also offer us complimentary entries for ALL AP10 coaching members – a great perk, thank you Dextro – great products and great people!

Early Winter and Wind Trainer Sets
With the weather being less than favourable here in NSW recently, many of us have been driven inside to get some of our bike riding done. With many of us having a love hate relationship with the good ol’ wind trainer, there is no doubt that if done correctly and with a direct plan, it can be one of the most valuable tools that we can own.
